I hope you had a great April!
The first quarter of the year is always a busy one for web hosts as many customers like to start the New Year off with fresh hosting.
Quarter two is also busy before we head into the summer!
With all that said here are some notable items that took place at SiteCanyon:
New SiteCanyon Client Area
Our new client interface provides a better mobile experience and we've re-organized many items so they're easy to find!
I hope you're enjoying it and we're always taking feedback/suggestions to implement in future releases.
Of course when we make such a large change, we've also ran across a couple of bugs that are being addressed. Thank you all who have reported those.
Domain TLDs Price Increase
Enom, the registry of TLDs, has increased a 5.5% price increase on all new and existing domain names.
While this is very unfortunate, it is completely out of SiteCanyon's control.
Because of this, we will unfortunately have to modify our prices for .COM from $12.65 a year to $13.98 a year, starting May 1st, 2022.
All .COM's and other TLDs will be updated in our system to reflect the new pricing. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Our team is more than happy to help in any way.
VPS Hosting Price Increase
Due to plunging Indian Rupee against foreign currencies, we are going to be raising our prices on VPS Hosting. The price for Starter VPS is changing from ₹850 a month, to ₹899, a month starting May 1st, 2022. The price for Pro VPS and Business VPS is changing from ₹1,700 and ₹3,400 a month, to ₹1,799 and ₹3,599, a month respectively starting May 1st, 2022.
Our new prices will allow us to better serve you and our future customers! If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Our team is more than happy to help in any way.
Cloudflare’s Free WAF Tier Will Cover High Profile Vulnerabilities
A few days back on March 15th, 2022 Cloudflare announced that it will be bringing some Web Application Firewall (WAF) functionality to its free tier. The tool will target the high-profile vulnerabilities, precisely because so many systems are affected.
